Versante Hotel offers a unique luxury boutique experience in Richmond, which is both playful and stylish, showcasing elements of a true West Coast vibe. Each of the 100 rooms, including some extremely opulent suites, on the property is unique and boast stunning views of Mount Baker, North Shore mountains, the industrial areas along the Fraser River, and towards the YVR airport.

Conveniently located in close proximity to the airport, the SkyTrain’s Canada Line, a 10-minute walk to the River Rock Casino, and a three-minute walk to the popular Richmond night market, it’s the perfect place to stay before or after a flight or concert.

Minutes from the Vancouver Airport, Richmond’s only boutique luxury hotel offers a complementary airport shuttle.

When visiting, make sure to take a look around the public areas of the hotel and in the rooms for the colourful artwork on display from eight Canadian artists. The signature wall coverings lining the hotel’s corridors signify the dark forests of B.C.  Even better, the large outdoor swimming pool offers nonstop views.

Versante Hotel Guest Rooms and Luxury Amenities

We had a chance to tour this impressive hotel and discovered all 100 rooms and suites at the Versante are unique and offer many eco-friendly characteristics. Most room categories feature large free-standing soaker tubs, heated floors in the bathrooms, and a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer.  All rooms have large windows to take advantage of the expansive views of Richmond’s natural beauty and the surrounding areas. The View Smart glass technology has auto-tinting  and are energy efficient. Room functions can be controlled by an app from the comfort of your bed.

In-room Nespresso coffee machines and a small offering of complimentary snacks are welcome touches. Bonus: some room categories offer a Peloton workout bike in the room.

Versante Hotel Dinning

The Cask Whisky Vault

OK, we have to admit we were impressed by Cask, especially the impressive Whisky Vault. The dimly lit room gives off real speak-easy vibes, while featuring an impressive selection of single malts, bourbons, and blended whiskies, with the casual dining style of an Izakaya.

Cask features live entertainment during the week, signature events throughout the year, and two private dining rooms which can be exclusively reserved for up to 10 guests each.

Cask is a definitely a place to retreat to — and a world to indulge in.

Bruno

We have yet to eat at Bruno, but have friends who have and they raved about their dining experience at this sophisticated eatery, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. The elevated menu is directly influenced by the local farmers and artisans who supply their ingredients, allowing them to showcase the best of BC with each dish.

Bruno’s goal is to have local guests fall in love with B.C. again by finding beauty in their own backyards. Locally-sourced ingredients include duck from the Fraser Valley, lavender from Vancouver Island, and shellfish from the Pacific Ocean prepared in unique, never-before-seen ways.
