Explore the world’s largest gingerbread village
Christmas in Norway is a magical time of the year and the creation of Pepperkakenbyn in Bergen, Norway, is a wonderful annual tradition since 1991.
The fairytale setting represents a miniature version of charming city of Bergen complete with its Christmas Ferris wheel and historic colorful architecture.
Gingerbread Town in Bergen, Norway
Pepperkakenbyn, the sweet miniature gingerbread town is the worlds’ largest of its kind. Every year local schools in the Bergen area design the gingerbread village.
There are about 2,000 incredible works made from real gingerbread. The village consists of gingerbread houses, moving trains, cars and ships set in a winter wonderland.
Walking into the exhibit you immediately encounter the delicious smell of gingerbread.
The impressive, elaborate display of the Gingerbread Town brings out the inner child in everyone.

This incredible annual gingerbread display is open November 13 – 31, 2021. Pepperkakenbyn is closed on Christmas Day.
Pepperkakenbyn is located in centre of Bergen.
