Roswell UFO Incident
The UFO crash reported in newspapers at the time said the Roswell Army Air field had captured a flying saucer. The military later said it was just a weather balloon.
The International UFO Museum and Research Center
The Roswell International UFO Museum and Research Center strives to have the latest information on UFO events from all over the world.
The museum’s collection is devoted to everything available about the Roswell alleged UFO incident in 1947.
There are also exhibits regarding mysterious crop circles, abductions, ancient astronauts and Area 51.
The museum is making upgrades to displays in order to provide a better visual experience. The annual UFO Festival features speakers and panels about everything related to the exhibits.

The Roswell UFO Story
The alleged UFO crashed sometime around July 4, 1947, on a ranch just outside Roswell.
Rancher W.W. Brazel, riding in search of his sheep after a thunderstorm, found metal debris covering a large area as well as a long shallow trench.
Brazel reported the incident to the county sheriff, who reported it to the Roswell Army Air Field.
The suspected crash site closed for several days. The Roswell Army Air Field issued a press release about the July 1947 Roswell UFO finding and later retracted it.
Allegedly a nurse at the Army Air Field hospital told a Ballard Funeral Home mortician that bodies had been found in the wreckage.
Did an unidentified flying object crash just outside Roswell or was it imagined? Was it a weather balloon? Are there aliens still out there?
These are all questions the Roswell International UFO Museum Research Center looks into. There are numerous theories out there. Many claim the story is real and that there was a huge coverup.

- July 9, 1947 – New Roswell Army Air Field press release was then issued to say the wreckage was a weather balloon.

Roswell is a three-hour drive south of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a three-hour drive west of Lubbock, Texas.
