Few patios in Vancouver can compete with the timeless charm and panoramic beauty of Seasons in the Park perched at the highest point in the city at Queen Elizabeth Park. This is where date nights, milestone celebrations, and casual garden strolls all find a scenic home. With front-row views of the city skyline, coastal mountains, and golden sunsets, dining here feels like a true West Coast escape, without ever leaving the city. I’ve celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday here as well as my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. That’s just how special this place is.
A Remarkable History
Since it opened in 1989, Seasons in the Park has been the setting for more than a few unforgettable moments. In 1993, it hosted a private dinner for Presidents Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin. It was the venue for Sarah McLachlan’s wedding reception, and it even helped shape history, welcoming the International Olympic Committee during Vancouver’s successful bid for the 2010 Winter Games.

Seasons in the Park Vancouver Menu
At the helm of Seasons in the Park is Executive Chef Raghu Mopuri, whose menu is both approachable and indulgent, with a focus on fresh Pacific Northwest ingredients.
Starters and Small Plates
We began our evening with two outstanding starters: the Humboldt Squid & Prawns ($21.50), flash-fried with lime and sesame chili sauce, and the Tuna Stack ($22), layered with creamy avocado, sweet mango, crisp wonton chips, and a punchy soy vinaigrette.

Mains and Daily Features
For mains, the Filet Neptune ($63) was rich and luxurious — a 7oz tenderloin topped with fresh crab and béarnaise sauce and served with hand-cut fries and seasonal vegetables. We also tried the Halibut special, perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced, showcasing the chef’s deft hand with seafood.

Cocktail Features and Desserts
I tried the refreshing Grapefruit Aperol Spritz ($14.50), made with grapefruit liqueur, Aperol, Prosecco, grapefruit juice, and soda. My friend Helen selected the Limoncello Spritz ($16), crafted with Limoncello Russo, fresh lemon, Prosecco, and soda, perfect for a warm summer night. We then chose the Signature Sangria ($37.50), which paired perfectly with our meal.
To finish, we shared the Sunburnt Lemon Pie ($12.50) — bright, tangy, and served with two fruit coulis. It was the perfect light and zesty end to a decadent meal.

Other Menu Items to Try
With so many tempting options, choosing was no easy task and we’re already planning a return visit to sample some of their other popular offerings. High on our list: the Seafood Linguine Carbonara ($33.50) with bacon, prawns, snapper, and scallops; the Grass-Fed Rack of Lamb ($43.50) served with cabernet demi-glace and creamy mashed potatoes; and their Slow Roasted Prime Rib Sunday Special ($49), complete with Yorkshire pudding, garlic mash, and red wine demi-glace.

One of Vancouver’s best-kept secrets – Wine Hour at Seasons in the Park
Just like their sister restaurant, The Teahouse in Stanley Park, Seasons in the Park also offers one of Vancouver’s best-kept secrets: Wine Hour. Available Monday to Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 pm in the lounge, this early evening gem features $15 wine flights highlighting both local and international pours, paired with $12 tasting boards like:
- Basil Cilantro Hummus – with crispy chickpeas, olives, crumbled feta, and warm pita
- Cheese Board – with crostini, onion jam, and grapes
- Parmesan Truffle Fries – with smoky chipotle aioli
It’s a relaxed, affordable way to sample top-quality wines while soaking up the views — and the perfect excuse for a spontaneous weekday visit.
Why I Recommend Seasons in the Park
Whether you’re here for a special occasion or simply craving a peaceful evening on the patio, Seasons in the Park delivers on every level — atmosphere, cuisine, unforgettable skyline views and friendly attentive service. I would be remiss in not mentioning our server Andre, who went above and beyond when he gracefully climbed over the balcony to retrieve a fallen pepper shaker. Our fellow diners gave him a round of applause.
